We have loved our time at Ahornstrasse. We viewed over 12 homes our first month in Germany and fell in love with this home for many reasons; the landlords, the homes layout, beauty and size, but mostly the location! We have 3 younger children and the location directly next to the large playground and bike park and the welcoming community has been the best part of our short 2 years here. We can easily walk our 4-year-old to a wonderful kindi and our 2 older boys can walk to the DODEA bus stop. When we adventure outside of the village the train is an easy 15-20 minute walk. The village has great restaurants, festivals and a lovely outdoor market on Fridays. The home itself has more than enough space for a family of 5 to include individual bedrooms, a play space, storage, a large loft with rooftop access and a great outdoor patio. The kitchen is very functional and is a treat with 2 ovens! The home stays cool in the summer and warm in the winter, it is clean and spacious. I know many turn away before seeing it due to one and ½ baths…in our 2 years here it was NEVER a problem. The bathroom is VERY large and tub and shower are separate with ample space and storage. Our home and location has been the envy of many families in our friend, it is a must see!
